Best Places to Visit in Dubai

Best Places In Dubai To Visit | The Early Airway

Because of the many places to visit in Dubai, it is often mistaken as its own country. In fact, it is a largest city in one of the seven emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates. It’s prime location on the southeast coast of the Persian Gulf is one of the draws of this contradictory land.

Although the United Arab Emirates tends towards extreme conservatism, the thriving populous of Dubai is as modern as a city can be. A shopping mecca for the rich, prices tend to turn most travelers into window shoppers at best. The people watching is extraordinary, and the architecture stunning.

Home of the world’s tallest skyscraper and a man-made island chain, Dubai should be on everyone’s bucket list. To create a truly luxurious experience, arrival by a Dubai jet charter will make you feel like one of the rich and famous, even if you aren’t. Here are a few of the best places to visit in Dubai.

Burj Khalifa

As one of the most unique places to visit in Dubai, it would be impossible to not “see” Burj Khalifa. However, to truly experience it you must plan a visit. The superlatives go on and on: world’s tallest building, world’s tallest free-standing structure, highest number of stories in the world, highest occupied floor, longest elevator. The 163 floors reach to a height of 2722 feet and the observation deck may just give you vertigo.

Within the building the world’s longest elevator ride whisks you up to observation towers. These allow a 360 degree view of the city and desert landscapes. A small store allows you to take home a souvenir of such a special visit. The luxury apartments are probably out of reach for most, but a trip to the top can allow you to dream.

Al Fahidi Historic District

After experiencing the incredible modern marvel that is Burj Khalifa, it’s a great idea to step back in time. This allows you to understand the historical significance and way of life of this ancient land. The Al Fahidi section of the city dates back to the 1850’s. It’s known for its characteristic Arabic malqaf, or wind catcher, buildings, an architectural style that promotes natural ventilation.

Narrow alleyways wind their way through shops and neighborhood restaurants. Although the area declined over the years, over 50 sand-colored buildings remain and feature museums, craft shops, and art galleries to a colorful past.

Palm Jumeirah

Some of the best places to visit in Dubai include its manmade features. Such is the case with Palm Jumeirah. This artificial archipelago created in the shape of a giant palm tree is the first offshore development of its kind. In addition to the hotels and resorts surrounding the Palm there is much to see and do.

The resort of Atlantis is a stunning place to stay and offers up nearly endless activities both in the water and on land for the entire family.  Atlantis is, quite simply, stunning, and offers dozens of room categories and restaurants in the hotel. The water park features dolphin and sea lion encounters, an aquarium, water slides and rides, and a shark safari. If all of that doesn’t tire out the entire family, there are also tennis courts, pools, shopping, and beaches to explore.

Souks Tour

Leaving the modern world behind, once again, add to your cultural knowledge of Dubai by taking a tour of the Souks. Souk is merely the word for marketplace in some parts of the world, but what makes them endlessly unique and interesting is the vast array of possible buys, along with the concept of haggling for everything you might be interested in.

Although all souks host a fascinating display of textiles, jewelry, tourist souvenirs, and spices, Dubai hosts a couple of souks well worth seeking out. The gold souk is a must see for jewelry lovers. Store after store is gleaming with the precious metal in exotic designs. The spice market is another favorite with large baskets overflowing with fragrant spices such as saffron, turmeric and cloves. The textile souk is a favorite of lovers of all things colorful with rolls and rolls of silk, cotton and other fine weaves in all of the colors of the rainbow.

The Dubai Mall

And finally, one of the best places to visit in Dubai is the Dubai Mall. With over 1200 stores, the Dubai Mall isn’t merely the world’s largest mall, it is more like a small city. The mall features an ice skating ring, an aquarium,  over 150 food stalls, and even a dinosaur skeleton. Although visitors from the United States will recognize some of the labels, be prepared for an onslaught of European brands and sizes. The best tip, wear comfortable shoes!

When you’ve exhausted your shopping perhaps you might want to catch a movie in the 22-screen cinema, check out the indoor theme park, or grab the best seats in the house for a Dubai Fountain water show which begins at 6pm each evening and rivals anything that the Bellagio in Las Vegas has to offer.

Dubai is a juxtaposition of old and new, ancient and modern, foreign and familiar. This city is made for wandering the ancient souks to barter for goods or taking a camel safari deep into the desert for the night. But it is also made for skiing at the Mall of the Emirates, dining on exotic food to your heart’s content, and pretending for just a bit that you are part of a lifestyle of the rich and famous. Perhaps nowhere else on earth do the uber-rich and the very poor cohabit so closely together making this one of the truly unique locations in the world. With so many locations and places to visit in Duabi, it is a must for everyone’s bucket list.

Visiting Dubai: Where to Stay and How to Get There

Dubai is like no other city in the Middle East with many options for travelers. This guide will help you choose the best lodging and transportation for your needs.

Located in the Middle East, Dubai sits on the sandy coast of the Arabian Gulf. This urban paradise is emerging as one of the most fashionable travel destinations in the world. Only recently have vacationers discovered the lure of this desert oasis. Dubai began as a small fishing village, but over the years, has become known for hot nightlife, trendy restaurants and amazing attractions, such as its impressive man-made islands. Dubai offers travelers its share of natural wonders too, including gorgeous beaches, plenty of sunshine year-round and dramatic landscapes.

Dubai is a multi-cultural international city, welcoming travelers from all over the world. There are over 500 hotels in Dubai and hundreds of inns and vacation rentals. For this reason, it can be difficult to choose a place to stay. If you are considering a trip to this spectacular destination, this travel guide will provide you with the information that you need to have a once-in-a-lifetime vacation.

Where to Stay

Travelers have a range of choices when it comes to lodging in Dubai. For those wanting luxury accommodations, Dubai delivers with resorts that offer champagne baths and Rolls Royce limousines. If you are on a budget, there are options for you too, including hostels, bed and breakfasts and charming boutique hotels. Here are some of our favorite hotels in Dubai.

Luxury

The Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf is an exquisite 5-star boutique resort featuring luxurious rooms designed to like Arabian summer houses. This resort provides true luxury. It has an intimate vibe and is accessible by water taxi. Rooms start at $440 plus per night.

Business

Many travelers mix pleasure and business on their trip to Dubai, staying a couple of days before or after a convention or meeting to enjoy the city. Time Grand Plaza Hotel, named a Travelers Choice hotel by Tripadvisor, is a great business hotel that offers plenty of amenities too, such as a fitness center, rooftop pool, poolside lounge and several onsite restaurants. In addition, the hotel is conveniently located close to the airport making it easily accessible.

Budget

Flora Square Hotel Dubai is a charming, yet cost-efficient hotel located in the heart of Dubai. It is a solid choice for visitors that want to stick to a budget. Offering soundproofed rooms, lots of recreational offerings and more, frugal travelers will get their money’s worth here. Starting at $60 a night, rooms at Flora Square Hotel are a steal.

Getting There

The Dubai International Airport is huge. Due to the volume of traffic and size of the airport, it is a good idea to fly into Dubai via private jet. Private jet companies often offer unused seats to Dubai on their charter flights at a significant discount. In fact, private flights are often even less than commercial flights. It is often impossible to relax on a commercial flight due to other passengers on the flight. On a flight to Japan, a man was arrested after he was told that he could not do Yoga in the back of the plane. He was asked to return to his seat by flight attendants. He responded by trying to bite and head-butt other passengers who were trying to help. Being on a flight like this is no way to start off a vacation. A private jet, on the other hand, offers a quiet environment that is perfect for relaxation. This is also a plus for business travelers who may want to get caught up on work on their flight. For these reasons, a private charter flight is the way to go when traveling to Dubai.

Dubai is the ultimate playground, offering travelers lots of choices. Use our tips above to help you find the best lodging and transportation options for your next trip to this one-of-a-kind city.

Great Destination Options for Family Fun During Your Summer Vacation

July is upon us, and the children have been out of school just long enough to become bored and quarrelsome. It’s definitely the right time to start thinking about heading out for your summer vacation. This can seem like a chore to some families, but it’s actually a wonderful opportunity for everyone to enjoy time together as a family and have some great fun.

Part of the challenge in traveling with the entire family is simply getting to and from your destination. Some families do fine with car trips, and others choose to fly or simply stay local. Many families that want to enjoy their vacation without any travel hassle choose a private jet charter. However you may choose to travel, here are three summer destinations that are sure to please everyone.

1. Houston, Texas

Sprawling Houston is an active city with many offerings for visiting families. These are just two family favorites that you won’t want to miss.

Houston Zoo: You’ll want to set aside a full day to enjoy the 6,000 animals at this wonderful zoo. The children’s area is a zoo in itself, and it features 40 exhibits with plenty of hands-on opportunities to pet and feed friendly animals. Exceptional exhibits cover every animal throughout the zoo, and you can expect to experience everything up close and personal. Walk right up to a sloth in the rain-forest area, or you might like to sit by the water tubes to watch the river otters play.

Downtown Aquarium: Come for lunch surrounded by a 150,000-gallon aquarium, and you can enjoy your meal while thousands of amazing sea creatures swim around you. Stay all afternoon for a day of fun games, rides and many wonderful aquatic exhibits. You’ll have the opportunity to touch and feed the stingrays, hang out with the bearded dragons and see the rare white tiger.

2. Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Those more adventurous families may enjoy a summer trip to busy, beautiful Dubai. You’ll have much to explore, and you’ll want to be sure to see these popular attractions.

The Dubai Fountain: This stunning attraction is free, and you’ll see beautifully colored water shooting as high as 145 feet into the air to the tune of a variety of songs. Performances are held daily.

• Aquaventure Waterpark: Cool off on the private beach, or you can go on some wet and wild rides. Huge water slides will thrill you, or you can just float down the lazy river. There’s a great spot for water fun set aside for younger children, and hands-on interactions with sea life are also available.

3. Miami, Florida

Miami is hot and happening, and you might just want to get a sitter for the children so that you can enjoy the nightlife. During the day, the entire family will enjoy these options.

South Beach: White-sand beaches and clear waters await, and you can spend the day swimming, building sandcastles and enjoying family time. Snorkeling and other equipment may be rented right on the beach, and restaurants are plentiful.

Everglades River of Grass Adventures: Don’t leave Florida without experiencing the Everglades from the safety of an air-boat or swamp-buggy tour. You’ll have the opportunity to see an area of America that is truly unique, and alligators, turtles and birds always come out to see you.

Using Dubai Jet Charter to Travel With Class

There are a number of reasons that a person may travel to Dubai. Some of the people that travel there may be doing business with someone from that area of the world. Other people are simply adventurers. The world is a wonderful place, and there are so many beautiful and exotic things to see. Dubai is a beautiful city, and one that world travelers may enjoy visiting. Whether a person is traveling there on business or pleasure, they probably wish they could get there without going through a system of airports. They may want to consider using a Dubai jet charter to make the trip.

Flying via private jet has a number of advantages. First of all, it means that the traveler is not subject to a schedule that is dictated by airlines and airports. They do not need to go through the hassle of standing in lines to go through security, and sitting in uncomfortable chairs as they wait to board the plane. They do not need to sit by screaming children, or someone who is invading their personal space as they fall asleep on their shoulder. Using a Dubai jet charter ensures that they can travel when they like, and they can ride in comfort and class.

Another advantage of using a Dubai jet charter is that the food is infinitely better. Companies that fly people in private jets are staffed by dedicated professionals that can provide travelers with delicious meals, and an endless supply of drinks. These travelers will be able to sit in a comfortable chair with adequate leg room, and they will have the ability to kick back and take a nap if that is what they want to do. When most people travel, they are incredibly excited to see different places and try different types of food. They view the actual flight as a necessary evil that enables them to see the world up close. The flight to these wonderful destinations does not have to be something one just grits their teeth to get through it. It can be part of the excitement and pleasure that comes with taking a big trip.

Two Advantages of a Dubai Jet Charter

If you are headed to Dubai, then you will probably have a couple of different choices on how you get there. So what are some of the advantages of a Dubai jet charter and why should you get one? A private charter gives you the advantages of security, flexibility, and ease of travel that you cannot usually find through commercial flights.

Security

With privately chartered flights you can have more security in a flight with less hassle at the security gates. Most of the time, you will be departing the airport at a Fixed Base of Operation away from the commercial terminals, meaning you can skip the long security lines at those places. You will usually know everyone who will be flying with you and meet the pilot before taking off. Your baggage will also be more secure because you can keep it closer to you during the whole process and even see it go from your hands to the plane.

Flexibility

When you hire a Dubai jet charter flight you can be more flexible with your departure and arrival times. Instead of planning your trip around the availability of commercial flights, you can narrow down your charter options by when you want to fly. You can also be more confident that being a minute late will not make you miss your flight. The flexibility of chartered flights can extend to the type of meals and in-flight entertainment you can have as well. Because many charter flights use smaller planes, you can utilize smaller airports which are closer to your or to your ultimate destination to give you added options in flexibility.

A Dubai jet charter can give you added security and flexibility for your trip. This means that your business or pleasure activities can proceed according to your schedule and you will not have to deal with the hassles of commercial terminals. You can plan out every detail of your flight from other passengers to the food that you have access to, and you can even watch the crew load your luggage directly on the plane and not have to worry as much about losing any of it.
