France is a beautiful country with so much to see and explore- from the Alps to the countryside to the beaches. It is most common for tourists to visit Paris on their trips, and even if you are in Paris you can still have the chance to see more outside of the city. North of Paris, Picardy is a charming village with beautiful chateaus and country homes. Loire Valley is known for its traditional wine making and striking small towns. Versailles is quite possibly the most well-known spot outside of Paris, home to the beautiful palace, gardens, and manicured lawns. The Chateau de Fontainebleau is an impressive chateau in a 17,000 acre forest. These ideas will get you outside of Paris for a bit and exploring new places throughout the French country.
