Securing Your Data When Traveling
When you’re planning an exciting trip, it’s unlikely that data security comes to mind when you’re doing your research. However, if you plan to bring a smartphone, laptop, or tablet with you on your travels, data protection matters quite a bit. Keeping yourself and your information safe should be taken into consideration as you travel. Try to stay away from using public computers on your travels, and if possible, try to find secure Wi-Fi (which is usually not free) or use a VPN. Back up your information, use a PIN code or password, and enable encryption when you are able.
