LA Welcomes Record Number of Visitors
According to new data from the Los Angeles Tourism and Convention Board, the city of LA welcomed a record number of visitors in 2014: 44.2 million to be more specific. This shows a 5% increase over the 2013 calendar year. The majority of these 44 million came from different parts of the United States, though international visitors hit a record high of 6.5 million tourists. Hotel occupancy was also at an all time high in 2014, up 2% over 2013.
