Frozen Niagara Falls Draws Tourists
With an icy storm blasting much of the East Coast and Midwestern parts of the country, it’s no wonder that many of these snow-blown areas are drawing attention. Niagara Falls is perhaps the most striking of the frozen landmarks, as it looks pretty much frozen from any angle. The Great Lakes are now more than 85% iced over, and for the first time in many years this cold has affected Niagara Falls. Water is flowing underneath the ice, but much of the falls are frozen solid in the cold weather. Tourists from around the world are enjoying a new look at the internationally-known landmark as it too survives the cold.
