First Global Solar Plane to Take Flight
Swiss pilots Bertrand Piccard and Andre Borschberg have announced the first global solar plane flight to go around the world. The Solar Impulse 2 aircraft will leave from the UAE, planning to make stops in Myanmar, China, India, Phoenix, and New York. With a 236 foot wingspan and weight of only 2.5 tons. the Solar Impulse 2 is an improve version of the first attempt at a solar aircraft. Many around the world look forward to the flight moving forward and taking off.
