Americans Taking Fewer Vacation Days
While it seems like we are all looking forward to our next vacation, a new study has shown that Americans are taking even fewer vacation days than ever before. American workers forfeited $52.4 billion in time-off benefits in 2013, losing 169 million days of paid time off. This resulted in American workers “providing free labor to their employers, at an average of $504 per employee.” Various campaigns are working to encourage Americans to take their travel time off and use it for vacations or just much needed rest and rejuvenation time.
