As many people spend a long period of time on wait lists, matches are often made between people who live on opposite ends of the country. OrganJet helps patients to find a match and provides a private jet at a few hours’ notice to help them get to their destination. This philanthropic endeavor is quite a unique idea, providing a much-needed solution to a serious and urgent issue.

Interest in Luxury Travel Rising

A new report from Digital Luxury Group called “The World Luxury Index Hotels 2014” has indicated that interest in luxury travel is on the rise. Some companies and brands are attracting much attention in the travel realm, with over 70 hotel brands and 900 international destinations included in the DLG report. By studying 485 million internet searches between July 2013 and June 2014, the group was able to conclude that “global online searches for the luxury hospitality industry increased by 7.7 percent year-over-year.”

Private Jet Sales See Boost

Private Jet Sales See Boost | The Early Air Way's BlogNot only have business jets seen sales rise over the course of this year, but now Boeing is also reporting that its giant commercial jets used for private travel have also seen a significant boost. In fact, the private jumbo jets have doubled in orders this year, the first time they’ve done so since the recession of 2008. These jumbo jets are designed to seat upwards of 200 passengers, but some elite travelers choose to purchase the jets and utilize them from private travel. The private jet industry has seen substantial growth following the recovery of the international economy from the recession.

Luxury Travel on Singapore Airlines' Flights

Singapore Airlines now offers a luxury travel option on its A380 aircraft, which offers 12 “suites in the first-class section of the plane, each containing a full-sized, lie-flat bed.” The plane also still provides an Economy Class section for those who are not seeking the luxury experience yet. Those in the first-class suites can dine at any time with an array of fine wines on hand to accompany the meal.

Private Jet Charters Support Special Olympics

The Special Olympics bring together 4.2 million athletes from 170 countries to participate in the national games. This year Cessna Citations and Beechcraft King Air private jet charters flew hundreds of the athletes, family members, friends, and coaches to the games in Trenton, New Jersey. The Citation Special Olympics Airlift brought together the athletes with owners and operators of private jets to transport them in style to the national games. Hundreds of other volunteers also supported the worthwhile cause.

Top Travel Trends for 2015

Cox and Kings has released its forecast of travel trends for the upcoming year, utilizing their group of global experts that can often pinpoint what and where travelers will be headed in the near future. According to their “Destination Managers,” Latin America is soon to be the number one destination for tourism over the next year. Guests are requesting authentic modes of transportation, from bicycling to chartering a bi-plane, depending on the place. Many countries will see comebacks after taking a hit in the tourism industry over the last few years, such as Egypt and Japan, and some will also choose to explore their own backyards more. Travelers are still looking for exotic locations and activities, and seasonality will become a state of mind, with many choosing to travel on the “off season.”
