How to Stay Hydrated Onboard a Private Jet Charter

How to Stay Hydrated Onboard a Private Jet Charter | The Early Air Way

Dehydration is a serious medical condition that occurs when the body losses fluids. Some common symptoms of dehydration include confusion, decrease urine output, weakness, dry mouth, fainting, and palpitations. During a flight onboard a private jet charter, most people are prone to dehydration as the low humidity levels in the cabin cause the body to use more water to perform essential functions. In order to stay hydrated on a flight to Los Angeles, travelers will need to regularly consume certain beverages and foods. Some experts have encouraged passengers to drink at least one cup of water each hour during the flight. Here are a few tips to decreasing the chances of dehydration on a private jet charter.

Tips to Staying Hydrated Onboard a Private Jet Flight

  • Before boarding a private jet, consider consuming plenty of coconut water at least two hours prior to the flight’s scheduled departure. Coconut water contains many electrolytes, potassium, and sodium and, as a result, some experts believe that the beverage provides as much hydration as a sports drink.
  • Sports drinks that are designed to replace electrolytes can be an effective hydration option, especially if a traveler is recovering from an illness or mild stomach problems.
  • Try to avoid alcohol and caffeine during a private jet flight. These beverages are known to substantially dehydrate the body. Travelers who enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of soda with an in-flight meal may need to greatly increase their water intake.
  • Guests should also consider limiting their consumption of sugary drinks. While sweet drinks are hydrating, many beverages that have a high sugar concentration may energize the body. When a traveler’s activity level increases, he/she will probably need to drink more fluids than a passenger who remains stationary.
  • Certain foods like oatmeal, soup, fruits, and vegetables are great sources of water. Therefore, travelers will receive the proper hydration when consuming some of these items on their private jet charter to Los Angeles.

Additionally, pilots will also need to stay hydrated in order to prevent pilot fatigue.
