Looking for a beach in the middle of a city? Each summer, Paris installs artificial beaches along the banks of the Seine and Bassin de la Villette for a month-long duration. Visitors can not only take in the sun and the sights, but can also participate in basketball, rugby, or beach volleyball. Water jets, dance competitions, and various other activities for the family are planned throughout the month. Watersport activities such as canoeing, sailing, and paddleboating are also offered at the Bassin de la Villette.
