Set limits for your technology use and workload. If you have to work on vacation, pick a short, set window of time to be available for that. That way, you can relax for the rest of the day.- Shift focus to engage your mind with something new. Just because you aren’t working doesn’t mean you can’t be busy! If you are achievement oriented, try to build new activities or challenges into your vacation to still feel like you are accomplishing things.
- Prepare for return the best you can. While coming back from a vacation is never a great part of the trip, booking your flights so that you have some buffer time to rest will be a good choice.
