In support of its new goal to be one must-see destination, Iran is building 125 new hotels to meet the desires of luxury travelers. The main tourism organization has noted its intent to increase tourism 20 times its current rate. As for the time until completion, Masould Soltanifar stated, “many of the hotels are near to completion, and the numbers built in the last year are more than the total produced in the last century”.
Accor, the largest hotel group in Europe, has begun construction of luxury hotels at Imam Khomeini International Airport as part of the initiative.
