Marriott Worried About Summer Bookings
The attacks in Paris last November are worrying the Marriott family of hotels. In response Ritz-Carlton, JW Marriott, Autograph, and Courtyard hotels are negotiating with the Paris tourism agency to adapt a more enticing pricing system. This is in hopes to get travelers back into Paris.
“Paris is the one that concerns us, but for the rest of (Europe) we don’t think there’s any reason why we shouldn’t get strong leisure travel,” -Amy McPherson, Marriott Europe head
Business travel bookings are reportedly better than expected for this time of year, with good momentum to come. Barcelona, Portugal, and London relished in increased demand as Paris was viewed as dangerous.
