The Hawker 800XP is the updated version of the Hawker 800. "XP" stands for "Extended Performance." The 800XP has modified engines over the original Hawker 800 that enhance the plane's climbing capabilities; a factor that is relevant in "high-hot" airports such as Aspen, CO.
The earliest model Hawker 800XP dates back to 1995 and the 800XP is still manufactured today as the Hawker 850XP. Hawker 800XPs manufactured after 1999 have an updated cabin. The only difference between the Hawker 800XP and Hawker 850XP is that the 850XP has winglets that increase the plane's range by 100 nautical miles.
Like the Hawker 800, the Hawker 800XP has an exceptional cabin consisting of 5 captain chairs, a side-facing couch for 3, and a fully enclosed lavatory. Also like the Hawker 800, the Hawker 800XP's baggage compartment is nothing to write home about, so be sure to pack light when flying on a Hawker 800XP. All considering however, the Hawker 800XP is a favorite amongst passengers of The Early Air Way for its balance of economy and comfort.
