New Year New Italy | The Early Air Way

Upcoming travelers to Italy could find they didn’t bring enough patience with them, as security and crowds abound at the hottest sights throughout the country. The first Sunday of each month is a particularly bad time to expect an easy trip as admission to state museums is free and reservations are not accepted.

The Uffizi Gallery in Florence is still being renovated for security and lighting, but some of the rooms have reopened and now are covered with a free Wi-Fi network!

A new museum, the Museo degli Innocenti, exhibits the people who cared for children in the Renaissance era.

Rome is expected to be extra packed as Pope Francis has declared 2016 to be a Jubilee Holy Year. Expect tighter security and larger crowds around St. Peter’s Basilica.
