TSA May Start Rejecting Some Driver Licenses | The Early Airway Private Jet Charter

The Department of Homeland Security is making moves that would force TSA to reject some states Drivers License for security reasons following recent terrorist activity. The Real ID Act, which has been in place for a decade, is what they are trying to enforce but some states outright opposed to make the changes. It requires stricter information of identity and is made to protect people from identity theft and fraud. A few states, Washington, New Mexico, Missouri, and Illinois are not under review for an extension and will not be allowed as ID for TSA starting on January 10th, 2016. Only 21 states are currently compliant with Homeland Security’s law.
