Tourism Holiday in Japan | The Early Air Way

A new national holiday has been created for Japan; National Mountain Day. The tourism industry is expecting a new season of revenue to the tune of $8 billion from this new holiday in Japan. Japanese celebrators are buying camping gear en mass including sleeping bags, foam mattresses, backpacks, and non-perishable foods.

Japan’s Mountain Day was instituted to celebrate and appreciate Mount Fuji as well as other notable mountains in the country, but the boost to the tourism industry is not unwanted. This holiday is scheduled just one week before a week-long festival period, a common time period for workers to take a summer break.
